Hi there,

Here’s a little bit of information about me and my style of therapy. I approach all clients through a trauma informed lens and have a keen understanding of the complexities life can dish out. I offer clients a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can address concerns, share their thoughts, develop coping skills, and work towards emotional stability. Using humor and drawing on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Complicated Grief Therapy as well as mindfulness and relaxation techniques, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

I most recently worked supporting victims, their loved ones, and community members that were affected after a mass shooting event. I assisted with those dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss. In addition to my most recent work, I spent over a decade working with individuals and families infected and affected by HIV, a focus of mine since before attending graduate school. I was drawn to working in the medical field and learning as much as I could about medical conditions, comorbidities, and the burn out patients face with diagnoses.

My past experiences have propelled my interest in supporting individuals managing chronic medical conditions. Whether dealing with the emotional toll of a long-term illness or terminal illness, navigating complex treatment decisions, or coping with the stress of a new diagnosis, I provide a supportive and understanding environment for those facing these challenges. I also have experience working with clients at end of life, helping individuals and their families address emotional and psychological needs during difficult times. I understand the importance of facilitating conversations about death and dying and providing emotional support for those navigating this stage of life.

I am and will always be an advocate for inclusivity and equity. I have a deep commitment to working with the LGBTQI+ community. I create a safe, affirming, and supportive environment for individuals exploring their gender identity, sexual orientation, and other aspects of their lived experience. My work with the LGBTQI+ community is centered on providing culturally competent care that recognizes and respects the individual experiences of people within this diverse group.

I hold a master’s degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati and am a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania. I continue to engage in professional development and regularly attend workshops and trainings to stay current with the latest therapeutic techniques and research in my areas of focus.

I am friendly, warm and laidback in my engagement and style. When working together, I ask you to be as authentic to yourself as possible and I will do the same. I will give you my time, attention, and respect. while I actively listen to your story. Together we can find a space in which you can thrive.
